Diosdado Cabello: Despite threats from imperialism and the EU, we are standing here

This Thursday, January 9th, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that U.S. imperialism maintains permanent aggressions and threats against Venezuela, “promising acts against our country, the United States government has sanctioned us, blocked us, persecuted us and we are standing here.”

During his tour of the Great March for Peace and Joy, in support of the President-elect, Nicolás Maduro, whose swearing in will take place this Friday, January 10, before the National Assembly (AN), he stressed that the European Union (EU), too, “has done the same and we are standing here”, before which he pointed out that there will be no violence in the country.

In this regard, he stated that unlike the extremist opposition, which seeks to generate violence and destabilization, “we have marched in despite the threats of the fascist and terrorist right.”

Cabello emphasized that “Chavism always marches in peace.”
