This Monday, November 2, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, welcomed the Christmas season, stressing that it is a time for family embrace, joy and love.

“Merry Christmas! Christmas begins in Venezuela for everyone (...) let's smile at Christmas, let's celebrate Christmas, because celebrating Christmas is celebrating life (...) it's a time for encounter and for remembering the brothers and sisters who have gone (...), and we remember them with love, affection and respect, a lot of respect (...) It's a time of family reunion,” he said during the press conference of the PSUV.

Cabello also questioned those who insist that Venezuela not celebrate December holidays. “We wish them a Merry Christmas to those who say that there should be no Christmas, because we still wish them to each other and reflect, try to reflect. Hate builds up and people end up sick,” he urged.

At the same time, he specified that to the bitter people who object to Christmas, “one must ask, what is your proposal? 'No, that's to hide the suffering and pain of the Venezuelan people. ' Nobody is hiding anything,” he said.

For this reason, he reaffirmed the strength of this people who, despite adversities, always move forward, reiterating that this is a time for reunion and family embrace.

“If this town has one thing, it is enthusiasm, a people who are moving forward, that adversities do not remain and that's good, every time there is a problem they manage to get ahead. This is what this town is like and that's where we all come from, all of us. So we're here this week, come on a hug (...) without hate, without fights of any kind,” he said.
