The Bolivarian Government has been characterized by betting on democracy to maintain peace, in this framework we saw how the Minister of Communication and Information of Venezuela, Freddy Ñáñez, stressed that “the extremist right in our country did not have an electoral plan for the presidential elections of July 28, but rather an insurrectional plan to destabilize the country, demand foreign military intervention and overthrow the Government of legitimate president Nicolás Maduro Moros” and added that “the fascist right never bets on peace, so participation in electoral processes will never be their way of trying to come to power”.

Also on the same subject, and through his Telegram channel, the minister posted: “This was the plan that María Corina and her criminal train had in store for July 28, 29 and 30 in Venezuela. In that area, too, they were defeated,” he said, referring to the plan conceived by María Corina Machado and former presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia.

This time, the National Electoral Council (CNE) called for a comprehensive electoral process that includes elections of deputies to the National Assembly, governors and municipal legislators for April 27 of this year. In this regard, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, convened the Congress of the PSUV for February 4th to from that space “create a proposal and choose the candidates of our party in the elections of April 27”.

We have seen that the extremist right has not renounced its violent agenda, which includes providing weapons to common criminals and prison “pimps” to bring about political changes in the Homeland of Bolívar and Chávez, despite the fact that in Venezuela it has been demonstrated that the road will always be democratic, we have a culture of active participation, since in Revolution alone 32 popular elections have been held in which the call is massive and led by the Village.

This time, regarding this new electoral event, the representative of the extreme right once again resorted to calls for violence, María Corina Machado, published a video in which she declared that “no one here keeps quiet, I call not to participate in any kind of elections until Edmundo González is recognized as president” and threatened the other opposition political parties, declaring that “whoever participates is part of the dictatorship of the Chavista regime”.

However, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, warned Venezuelans about the maneuvers orchestrated by the extreme right to implement scenarios of violence, similar to the guarimbas of 2014 and 2017; “Never again hate crimes! Don't let yourself be manipulated by the violent right,” he warned.

We can remember the wave of violence that we experienced during the Constituent elections, in which we had to set up new voting centers to guarantee the participation of the people and people walked for hours, crossed rivers and even had to disguise themselves in order to exercise their right to choose.

“This hatred, that violence has awakened in sectors and that is the main commitment made by the extreme right in Venezuela,” he said during the Con Maduro+ program, and reiterated his call to the People to preserve peace, as well as to cultivate love, coexistence and respect in the face of attempts to sow fascism in Venezuela.
