During the Al Aire program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), William Fariñas, indicated that an opposition sector intends to return to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“In the current political class (right), there is a catch, because there are those who aspire to return to the IMF, with the privatization of services, who still don't understand what happened on February 27, which triggered all the people to rise up against the arbitrariness of the current government (Carlos Andrés Pérez),” he said.

On the other hand, he stressed that the 7 Transformations created by the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, guarantee the country's political, public and social development.

“Before everything was imported, but now 98% of what is consumed is made in the country, we are no longer a rentier country and today there is an uptick in oil,” he added.

According to what was published on the VTV website, Fariñas also highlighted that the Special Commission for the Defense of the Territory of Guiana Essequiba and Territorial Sovereignty are making progress on the issue of the law of this state.
