The deputy to the National Assembly, Fernando Soto Rojas, during an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), stated that the air governments of the bourgeoisie must be put to an end, since they are not connected with the people.
“One observes that these governments of the oligarchy are aerial, they are not articulated, integrated into peoples, so when COVID-19 appears, the number of deaths in the United States (USA) and Europe is tremendous,” he said.
Soto Rojas exemplified that when catastrophes appear on the Mediterranean coast in Valencia it is a disaster “the kings and the president appear five days later,” said Soto Rojas.
In addition, the deputy highlighted the government's tireless struggle to meet the needs of the people “when they have experienced tragedies, such as in 2012, Commander Hugo Chávez was at present affected by rains in the town of Cumanacoa”
He also stressed that the president, Nicolás Maduro, was in situations of risk in Las Tejerías and Cumanacoa, “Nicolás Maduro was there, to provide help to those affected (...) our people are playing with the people and putting their skin for the people.”
In the framework of the Historical Congress, he said that programmatic proposals are making progress, to outline the horizon and to know how the people are going to re-found this State and the correlation of force?
In addition, he stressed that within the debates, the example of the Congress of Angostura was brought to the table; because that congress, although dating back more than 100 years ago, is fully valid, because “The Liberator defined the concept of nation, state, people, the problem of the division of public powers, education, work, the fight against slavery”.
