The first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Pedro Infante, held the American oil and gas company, ExxonMobil, responsible for thirsting for revenge against Venezuela, because in the process of nationalization, sovereignty and control of the country's resources in 2006 and 2007, this company was the most affected.

In the regular session, held this Tuesday, March 11, Infante explained that ExxonMobil is the number one company in the United States, a nation dominated by corporations from the military, industrial, technological and oil complex.

He argued that large corporations influence American politics, a mechanism legally established even to finance political parties.

“That's where the topic of donations and contributions comes from. Exxon is one of the main contributors to the Republican Party,” he stressed while naming a group of public officials from the United States who were first chief executives or generals of large companies in that country.

“The oil nationalization proposed by Chávez, the revision of contracts, the redistribution of wealth, the strengthening of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the creation of Petrocaribe (Solidarity Energy Cooperation Agreement proposed by the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela with other countries in the region), affected ExxonMobil and that is why they want to charge and harm Venezuela,” he said.
