Deputy Minister William Castillo explained to the BRICS the benefits of the Special Economic Zones

The Deputy Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies, William Castillo, presented the advances of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) at the VI International Municipal Forum of the BRICS, held in Moscow.
Castillo presented to official authorities and investors belonging to the block, the scope, achievements and components of the economic program being developed by the Bolivarian Government.
In addition, he showed the possibilities offered by the country for the development of joint projects.
In this regard, he specified that SEZs are designed as essential economic areas for the development of projects in the areas of tourism, light industries, science and technology, energy and the mining sector.
The Deputy Minister pointed out the scope that the implementation of special economic zones has had on national economic activity.
He asserted that, as a result of this initiative, Venezuela has registered an average economic growth of 5% per year since 2021. “We have achieved fiscal balance, inflation control and exchange rate stability,” he said.
