The Deputy Minister for Community and Social Organization and Participation, Ronald Solé, reported that 5,418 community circuits will take part in the National Popular Consultation on October 18, a day in which citizens will directly choose the projects that will receive funding.
The official said that the consultation reaches its final phase of the campaign after completing a previous organization program that he described as satisfactory. In this edition, the process adds territories that had not participated before, such as Guiana Essequiba, and incorporates neighborhood and condominium councils.
Solé framed the day in what he described as an exercise of government from the ground up, and argued that the commune and the communal state continue to be the way to address the country's structural problems. He also confirmed that the organizational process is progressing as planned for the vote.
