This Thursday, April 03, the Deputy Minister
for Latin America and the Caribbean, Rander Peña, denounced the actions of El
Salvador against Venezuelans, during the installation of the
International Seminar on the Criminalization of Migration and the Human Rights of Migrants,
which is being held in the spaces of the Antonio José de Sucre Yellow House, in Caracas.
“El Salvador has become little less
than the facilitator of crime in the United States, the jailer of the United
States and nothing less than the fascist colonial subordinate (...) We don't ask the
fascists for a truce nor will we give it to them,” he said.
He questioned the double standards with which international
organizations act, “which suspend rights for certain groups and
turn migrants into criminals.”
He also emphasized that despite the stigmatization
of fascism with human beings, President Nicolás Maduro has
set up a team “to provide the necessary legal assistance for the timely
return of these Venezuelan brothers who are in this complex situation.”
“From here we say that if they have protection and that just because they are Venezuelans we know that they are Latin American heroes and that they will have the necessary strength to face this fascism,” he said.
