Deputy Minister Pérez Am: Fire at Pier 1 of PDVSA in Zulia is 70% under control

The Deputy Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, Carlos Pérez Am, reported that the vegetation fire that occurred in Patio del Muelle 1, in Bachaquero, Zulia state, is under 70% control as it spread to a dam containing hydrocarbon waste.

Through his account on the social network X, he stressed that “combat work continues to completely extinguish”.

He specified that the fire was controlled by members of the National Risk Management System, comprised of Lagunillas Firefighters, Cabimas, Bachaquero and the Venezuelan Petroleum Fire Brigade (PDVSA).
