Deputy Minister of Collective Health: We are working to relaunch the Smile Mission

The Deputy Minister of Collective Health, Jesús Osteicochea, reported that the Bolivarian Government is working to “relaunch the Smile Mission, with the purpose of strengthening all its headquarters in the country.”
During a meeting with the purpose of strengthening the National Public Health System (SPNS) in the area of dental care, Osteicochea has certified more than 500 dental technicians and this number is expected to increase.
“At this second meeting we already have the professionals who will enter our National Public Health System,” he said.
For her part, the president of the Smile Mission, Georgina Siso, indicated that Venezuelan dentists can be integrated into each of the programs that are being carried out in the area. “Children, adolescents and the elderly will be cared for in the oral health program.”
According to what was published by the Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) web portal, there are currently more than three thousand dental students in Venezuela who will join the different health centers.
