This Friday, October 2, the Deputy Minister of Electric Energy, Tania Masea, emphasized that the Bolivarian Government's most immediate goal for this year corresponds to the start-up of thermoelectric plants, in order to provide a quick response to the Venezuelan people, for which a staff with extensive experience is available who will add their efforts to complying with the established schedule.
In this regard, during an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he stated that there is a plan for the recovery and maintenance of the National Electric System (SEN), technical teams are carrying out work on the hydroelectric part for the restoration of large energy blocks in the country.
He confirmed that among the facilities where strategic work is being carried out are the TZ7 unit in the state of Zulia and Planta Centro in the state of Carabobo, the latter considered a node of great importance for the system.
Masea explained that, in parallel, progress is being made in projects and contracts for the recovery of hydroelectric infrastructure in the state of Bolivar, which is key to providing the necessary firm energy that provides stability to the entire national grid.
In addition, the Deputy Minister indicated that, together with the repair and maintenance of the SEN, the energy savings plan is being promoted, which is an initiative aimed at the end user, a category that covers the public, private and residential sectors.
As an example, he mentioned the difference in consumption by region: in the state of Cojedes there is a residential user; on the other hand, Carabobo and Aragua concentrate a large industrial park, so they demand different care schemes.
For his part, the electrical energy expert, Alberto Urdaneta, indicated that they currently have the resources and technological support through the arrival of spare parts. “We have those great allies that also guarantee an active, prepared workforce that is working 24 hours to get electricity to homes,” he said.
To carry out these works, the electrical sector has the availability of necessary spare parts and a technical team with extensive experience committed to complying with established schedules.
