The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, delivered a Note of Protest to the Deputy Head of Mission of the United Kingdom embassy in Caracas, on the occasion of the publication on social networks of a photograph carrying a Venezuelan flag without the eighth star: that of Guiana Esequiba.

The information was released by the Deputy Minister for Europe, Coromoto Godoy Calderón, on her account of the social network X.

In the message, he stressed that “we delivered a Protest Note to the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Caracas, who disrespectfully posted on social networks a photograph carrying a Venezuelan flag without the eighth star, that of Guiana, that of the Essequibo”.

He emphasized that “it is unacceptable for any diplomatic representative to ignore their duty to respect the National Symbols of Venezuela.”
