The Deputy Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies of the Ministry of People's Power for Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade, William Castillo, warned that false news operations continue from abroad, through which they “intend to deteriorate and weaken Venezuelan democracy.”

In this regard, he stressed that this January 10, with the swearing in of the elected president, Nicolás Maduro, by the will of the majority of Venezuelans, “will demonstrate a more robust and stronger democracy for the next six years.”

Castillo said that the Venezuelan people have a strengthened democracy together with the National Constitution, which is part of the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez and continues to move forward in a democracy of peace and that seeks to strengthen the economy under the guidance of President Maduro.

During the special program on the occasion of the swearing in of the head of state, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he said that “we are obliged to build a working consensus and a consensus of respect.”

“The one who has productive resources dedicated to producing, the workers to work, the politicians who do our project and present them to our country and that it is the people who decide in elections,” he stressed.

He highlighted the importance of lines of transformation for the country, since he believes that it is the leadership of the Bolivarian Revolution, the economy, sciences and technologies as the main base, as well as the protection of the social system, the continuity of recovering public services.

“The Revolution has a plan, a project, a path, it has a set of ideas, political will and it has the leadership to do so,” he said.
