In his participation in the Entre Commons program, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN) Nicolás Maduro Guerra, pointed out that the Reform of the Law against Hate must be a legal instrument for peace, for democracy and for “we learn to live together, and that political thought is not a wall, but a bond to unite Venezuelans.”
“Right now, the Anti-Hate Law must be reformed to open the avenues, as Salvador Allende said, of the new political season that we now have to live in Venezuela,” he said.
He announced that this reform may take at least three weeks. He said that we must listen to all sectors, we must update it and that “it is a law that allows an opening movement. People are sick of political conflict, I'm sick of it. There is a very big social wound,” he acknowledged.
He recalled that the Anti-Hate Act, approved in 2017, “was not pulled out of the sleeve, here there was a coup d'etat in 2002. Chávez called for dialogue. Violence was always encouraged by the opposition, and the people called for an end to political violence.”
On the other hand, the parliamentarian indicated that he talks daily with his father, President Nicolás Maduro.
“We are in active resistance. Maduro is a man who resists in strength, in every call, in every gesture, in every photo he sends us. Every day we talk to him.”
He reported that on October 3, in all municipalities, a prayer will be held for the health of Cilia Flores, for the country, for peace, for the victims of the earthquake, “it is an integral prayer”.
