The comptroller's office makes it possible to rescue the morale of the Bolivarian Revolution, which is why the Venezuelan people are happy that the corrupt are being punished, as stated by the deputy and president of the Permanent Committee of Comptroller of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Willian Gil.

In the Al Aire program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he emphasized that the goal of the Bolivarian Revolution is for the same people to be able to control the institutions of the State, so that corruption is minimized and that “everything does not depend on the will of a single official.”

“Being a comptroller allows us to rescue the morale of the Bolivarian Revolution, because in the fourth Republic, when corruption was discovered, dirt was thrown at it so that no one would know, in this case of El Aissami, President Maduro said we are going to the bottom, being even one of his closest friends,” he said.

Gil also argued that corruption is an evil that has permeated world politics, even governments have been overthrown for this cause, “we are not going to allow that”.

“Unlike what the opposition says that the rule of law and due process are being violated here, we must highlight the figure of the president who has allowed the prosecution to comply with the deadlines established by the investigations and that allowed this plot to be revealed,” he stressed.

Regarding the information revealed about the PDVSA-Cripto corruption case, he clarified that an entire investigation is being carried out, “it was demonstrated by the Prosecutor's Office that those responsible are linked to Leopoldo López, Juan Guaidó and all the last names, who are behind it corrupting officials and seeking to overthrow the Government. These are chips that the CIA and US imperialism manage.”

On the other hand, he recalled that last year the AN approved a Law on the Extinction of Domains, “this has allowed the Attorney General's Office, as the law says with specialized courts, to quickly take control, that is, to extinguish the domain and allow the State to become the owner of those assets acquired through corruption, drug trafficking, and money laundering.”

Gil recalled that before the approval of this law, when a case of corruption was discovered, no property seized could be touched until there was a sentence, and it could take up to five years, “this time the head of state has been able to recover and make available to the people those assets that belong to the State and that were stolen.”
