During the Al Aire program, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), William Gil, highlighted that the debate on the Organic Law for the Defense of Guiana Essequiba is progressing in the country.

“We have been working and consulting, it's a very simple law, but it allows us to give legal support to all the actions that have been taken to defend our territory,” Gil said in the communication space broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

In addition, he stressed that thanks to the Consultative Referendum, a great step was taken to bring about the negotiating table between President Nicolás Maduro and the Guyanese president. “But not under war or conflict, but through dialogue and peace, as well as the popular support of the Venezuelan people of last December 3 in the consultative referendum,” he said.

“Venezuelans have demonstrated that they can put aside differences and unite to defend their territory, enhance the country's economy and work together for the happiness of the people,” he emphasized.
