Delcy Rodríguez: We are not celebrating 25 years of Government but of a country project

On Friday, February 2, the 25th anniversary of the Bolivarian Revolution, the Executive Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, stated that during this period a country project based on a new political, economic and social model for the well-being of the People has been built.

From the Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV), during the debate on the Plan for Recovery and Transformation 7T, Rodríguez pointed out that “we are not celebrating 25 years of government, we are celebrating 25 years of a country project, of inclusion, of democracy, of guaranteeing human rights, of peace, of an economic model also based on the distribution of oil revenues for the excluded”.

He stressed that after four decades of pointfixism, Commander Hugo Chávez arrived as “the ray of light for Venezuela, it arrived in a resounding way, it shook Venezuelan society (...) it changed the history of this country forever.”

“Chávez meant, without a doubt, the summary of the contradiction of that class struggle, which was alive, that they denied it, that the ruling elites denied it, they said it didn't exist,” he criticized .
