From the Petrocedeño Company, located in the state of Anzoátegui, the Executive Vice President of the Republic and Minister of Popular Power for Petroleum, Delcy Rodríguez, spoke this Tuesday with the working force of the state company Petrleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA), who have courageously resisted the attacks of imperialism and the extreme right against the energy industry of the country.

Through his social networks, Rodríguez highlighted that the labor force of the national oil, gas and petrochemical industry is “the most experienced in the fight for energy sovereignty and the one that has accumulated the most strength in its battle against anti-national, local and foreign power factors.”

Referring to the recent attacks against the Muscar gas pipeline in Monagas and other energy facilities in the country, the senior official pointed out that “sabotage to prevent the distribution of diesel during the holiday season is an economic crime with the intention of disturbing social stability.”

“You are the guardians and guardians, there is no other. I have done it to the president (Nicolás Maduro) with the mystique that you are working, with your nails defending the industry,” Rodríguez said in the conversation with the workers.

He added that “in this process initiated by Commander Hugo Chávez, of having energy sovereignty, there are no workers in the country more prepared for victorious resistance than those of PDVSA.”

In this regard, he urged them to never give up because that would mean “mortgaging the future of this country for future generations” to foreign and transnational powers, and “we don't want that for Venezuela and we trust you,” he said.
