The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, spoke this Wednesday on the statements of the President of Guyana, Irfaan Ali, authorizing the presence of the United States (US) Southern Command in the territory of Guiana Essequiba.

Through his account on the social network X, Rodríguez urged the Guyanese president to drink chamomile tea in the face of the nerves and desperation with which he addresses the international community to “let them steal from Venezuela in peace”.

“Mr. Irfaan, first drink chamomile, then you know that you have no other option than direct negotiation in accordance with the Geneva Agreement. It must adjust its illegal behavior to the law, stop threatening Venezuela with its warrior friends and suspend concessions in the sea pending delimitation,” said the Executive Vice President.

Earlier, through an official statement, the Bolivarian Government denounced “the reckless attitude of Guyana, which, acting under the mandate of the American transnational Exxon Mobil, is opening up the possibility of installing military bases to an imperial power, threatening the Zone of Peace that has been outlined in this region.”
