Delcy Rodríguez: National Government, industry and investors will maintain oil technical table

The National Government will maintain a technical working table with the industry, investors and oil chambers, with the purpose of guaranteeing the employment and participation of national suppliers in the sector, as announced by the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during the Closing of the Zulia Energy, Oil and Gas Forum 2026.

The president was emphatic in pointing out the objective of this space for dialogue. “We are going to maintain a technical table between the National Government, the industry and investors with the oil chambers so that we can continue to guarantee employment, continue to ensure that national suppliers have an important space for participation as established by law,” he said.

Rodríguez stressed that each contract will require the incorporation of local labor. “Each contract will require where its national supplier is, how many Venezuelan and Venezuelan workers,” he said. He also indicated that the Executive will strictly follow current regulations to protect workers.

“We are going to be very anxious to follow up on the fact that Article 19 of the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons becomes a reality, because that reality is the benefit of all,” he said.

Finally, he pointed out that the productive boost in the entity will generate multiple job opportunities by 2027, which will be coordinated through national economic dialogue.
