Delcy Rodríguez: More than three million Venezuelans made an historic appointment to re-found Venezuela

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, said this Thursday that more than three and a half million Venezuelans participated in the popular assemblies on the way to the Great Congress of the Bolivarian Historical Bloc.

“More than three and a half million Venezuelans took part in a historic event to re-found Venezuela from direct democracy, from the grassroots, from the core democracy, which has been inherited from our Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in 1999,” Rodríguez said during the installation of the Congress, which will be held in Caracas until next Saturday.

He reported that in the discussions, more than 500,000 proposals emerged and were submitted to President Nicolás Maduro, “in a process of systematization (...) more than 100,000 assemblies have allowed us to already have the tools to set the course of the Venezuela of the future with our five generations, with our seven forces consolidated as a single fist, as a single force to defend Venezuela.”
