Delcy Rodríguez highlights the importance of SEZs to attract investment and boost exports

At the Closing of the 25th World Forum for the Development of Special Economic Zones (SEZ), the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the experience of the People's Republic of China in strengthening these spaces.
From the Miraflores Palace, Rodríguez offered a balance of the results obtained during the event, which through 23 presentations, “has been able to highlight the importance of Special Economic Zones in the development of the country, in the development of economies”.
He stressed that “China is the best example to show and what we have learned in the exchange of experiences through these presentations on how to strengthen Venezuela's Special Economic Zones.”
The senior official of the Bolivarian Government reiterated that “special economic zones are an extraordinary mechanism for attracting investment and just as special economic zones represent 70% of China's exports, a new teaching that special economic zones in Venezuela can be an extraordinary engine for non-oil exports.”
“We are developing our own model, but we have also learned from a victorious philosophy that was derived from China's reform and opening up program and that has turned China today into an economic superpower,” he emphasized.
