Defense Minister declares Christmas started at the FANB and thanks families for their commitment

As part of the formal start of the December festivities in State institutions, the Minister of Popular Power for Defense, General in Chief Gustavo González López, led the official Christmas opening ceremony of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), expressing his appreciation to the military personnel and their families for their service to the country.

“Today the grateful embrace of the Homeland comes to them and to their families who are waiting for them, we say: thank you for lending us your loved ones to serve Venezuela. May the beginning, music and joy of this institution, and on behalf of the entire military family, I formally declare Christmas open. Come on a hug, Christmas is here, Merry Christmas Venezuela!” , said the holder of the Defense portfolio during his speech.

The institutional event included the participation of the Military High Command, musical groups and members of the different components of the FANB, in a space aimed at highlighting the peace, fraternity and cohesion of the military family in this holiday season.

The military authority confirmed that the components of the Armed Forces are still deployed throughout the country within the framework of the Safe Christmas Plan 2026, guaranteeing the protection of the territory, the protection of the Venezuelan people and peace of mind during the end of the year celebrations.
