According to a recent survey conducted by the pollster Dataviva, 87% of Venezuelans condemn the imprisonment of their migrant compatriots in prisons in El Salvador in complicity with the United States Government.

For the study, 10,000 telephone interviews were conducted between March 18 and 19. The report also highlighted that 74% of respondents consider that recent US government measures violate human rights, while 16% disagree and 10% did not express an opinion, according to a press release from VTV.

In addition, 83% of the participants rejected the idea that the majority of deported migrants are criminals, compared to 5.6% who thought otherwise and 11.4% who abstained from answering.

Regarding the national position, 71.3% of the respondents stated that Venezuela must defend its integrity and reject any foreign interference, while 17.34% disagreed and 11.38% did not respond.

In addition, 72% pointed to the extreme right-wing politician María Corina Machado as the promoter of these Washington actions, although 15% dismissed this idea and 13% had no opinion.

While 75% of Venezuelans expressed their support for the Plan Back to the Homeland, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, as a solution to address the situation of migrants.
