On June 12, 1950, Darío Vivas, a revolutionary of unwavering loyalty, was born.

From a very young age, he stood out for his social vocation and fighting spirit, which led him to be a faithful companion in the struggles waged by students, pensioners, doctors and other workers during the Fourth Republic.

Known for his fighting spirit and great capacity, he was an essential figure in the various electoral battles fought by the Bolivarian Revolution, with Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez and President Maduro at the head.

This made him worthy of holding, for several years, the Vice Presidency for Mobilization and Events of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

He was facing the revolutionary administration of the Government of the Capital District (GDC), a position for which he was appointed by the Head of State with the mission of energizing the work of beautification and strengthening community organization in the city of Caracas.

He was also part of the members of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) after being elected by Caracas, a city that always gave him its vote, which led him to be a deputy to the National Assembly (AN) for several periods.

This combative spirit of street social leader that marked his life, never abandoned him and in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, he stood by the side of the people, demonstrating that for revolutionaries, as Pablo Milanés said: “Life is worthless if it's not to perish, so that others can have what you enjoy and love, life is worthless if I just sit there, after I've seen and dreamed that they call me everywhere.”

He left for eternity on August 13, 2020, after battling the effects they caused on his health, the COVID-19 virus.
