On November 18, 2004, as a result of a terrorist attack, Danilo Anderson was assassinated, a distinguished prosecutor who stood out for his courage, courage and dedication in favor of the causes of justice, fighting with force and efficiency the powers that were threatening the Homeland.
Born on October 29, 1966, in the city of Caracas, this distinguished Venezuelan dedicated his life to training as a lawyer, a tool that he made available to the humblest with the development of voluntary work sessions that consisted of free advice to low-income communities and people.
With the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution and because of his well-known career in post-justice, he was promoted as a prosecutor where he stood out for being the first official of the Public Ministry to open cases of environmental crimes, demonstrating his humanist vocation.
On April 13, 2002, the world was able to witness the actions of this courageous man who arrived at the doors of Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), to fulfill the function of demanding as a prosecutor the return of the signal that had been interrupted by the coup plotters.
This action earned him the love of the people and the hatred of the oligarchy who set their eyes on this incorruptible prosecutor who had decided to lead an investigation to try those who had financed this coup against Bolivarian democracy.
This hatred led them to plan the most grotesque and cowardly murder against Danilo Anderson, who had a bomb placed in his vehicle that went off while he was driving down an avenue in Caracas, causing his death instantly.
Today, 20 years after this vile act, the people under the slogan “Danilo lives, the fight continues!” honors the memory of those who are still alive in the hearts of the millions of Venezuelans who fight every day to build a Homeland where, as Simon Bolivar said, justice reigns.
