The President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, took the floor at the celebration of the People for the swearing in of the re-elected Head of State, Nicolás Maduro. “Here is David, the hero, the revolutionary: Nicolás Maduro Moros and with him, Chávez, Bolívar and the Venezuelan heroes Long Live the Youth,” he said.

President Ortega shared with the Venezuelan people gathered outside Miraflores the story of how Nicaragua has also circumvented the interests of imperial countries, while exalting the value of youth.

“I see a river of divine waters, an overwhelming majority of young people, boys, girls that Rubén Darío said in one of his poems: Youth divine treasure. Honestly, it is seen in young people because of their commitment and conscience, because of their dedication to overcoming the study of social struggles, for sovereignty and independence, that is the strength and magic of youth and that is why revolutions throughout history have been led by young people. With this youth, with this people and with this party we will continue to fight,” he said.
