Two days after saying goodbye to 2024, the capital city hosted the great bike ride “Caracas Rueda” led by the Olympic BMX medalist, Daniel Dhers, from Plaza Francia in Altamira to the Monolitos de los Próceres.
The distance of 8.5 km was covered by more than 100 participants of all ages, who gathered for this event, which included cyclists and skaters from different parts of the country, such as La Guaira and Miranda.
Dhers highlighted during an interview with Venezolana de Televisión the great participation in the “Caracas Rueda” and the willingness that Venezuelans have to do physical activity.
“Excited to see that people come together to play sports; at the end of the day it's that, encouraging people not to stay at home doing nothing,” he added.
In the same way, the Olympic medalist thanked the security agencies and all those who made it possible for the activity to go smoothly.
For his part, the Minister of Sport, Arnaldo Sánchez, participated in the activity together with Deputy Ministers Juan Carlos Amarante and Franklin Cardillo.
“Here we are with Daniel Dhers on a bike ride, we invite all the Venezuelan people to do physical activity, to recreate themselves with the bicycle, from the race, to guarantee more health and more happiness,” said Sánchez.
