The far-right political party, Popular Will (VP) supported the nomination of leader Daniel Ceballos as its standard-bearer for the presidential elections to be held on July 28, 2024.
In accordance with the schedule presented by the National Electoral Council (CNE) for the convening and holding of these elections, the opposition group presented its postulate, which claimed to be the alternative for those who want political change in the country.
In this regard, during his speech to the CNE, Cabellos assured that his candidacy “crept in” as an alternative to the country in the face of those who intend to remain in political conflict and “take and give me”.
“Here we are not going to call anyone to protest, to the street, nor are we going to ask them to submit to the dilemma between staying and leaving. The only thing we are going to ask them is that they go out and vote so that this country changes,” he said, while stressing that after 14 years it is the first time that VP has had a presidential candidate.
