DAEX destroyed more than 34,000 weapons in Bolívar as part of the Public Security policy

This Thursday, May 02, as part of the public policy of Public Security and the Great Peace Quadrants Mission, the General Directorate of Arms and Explosives (DAEX) destroyed more than 34,000 weapons in the state of Bolívar at the headquarters of the Orinoco Siderurgical Company “Alfredo Maneiro” (SIDOR).

The information was released by the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, through its account on the social network X, in which it indicated that the activity was attended by the Public Security and Peace Quadrants authorities, at the end of a coordination meeting.

He explained that the Deputy Minister of Prevention, Public Security and Peace Quadrants, Endes Palencia, accompanied by the governor of the state of Bolivar, Ángel Marcano and Deputy Minister Humberto Ramírez, held a coordination meeting with representatives of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), the State Police, the municipal police and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).

In another message, he indicated that during the meeting “the crime indicators issued by @OVS_oficial were reviewed, and strategies were defined to reduce crime in the entity.”
