Cuba will be part of two important United Nations commissions

This Tuesday, Cuba was elected to the United Nations as a member of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (period 2025-2027) and of the Commission on Social Development (period 2025-2029).
As stated in his X account by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, this election evidences international recognition of the country's work in these areas.
“Cuba was elected today by acclamation at the United Nations as a member of the Commission on Social Development and the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice,” the foreign minister wrote.
Bruno Rodríguez also stressed that “this election demonstrates international recognition of our country's work in these areas.”
