Crime rate decreased by 21.3% compared to 2023

The vice-president of the sector for Public Security, Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, said that general crime decreased by 21.3% compared to the same period in 2023.

The information was released by the Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, at a meeting of the Ministerial Security Council, in which he explained that the reduction in crime throughout the national territory is due to the good development of the strategic lines contained in the Great Mission Quadrants of Peace, which is the country's citizen security policy.

In addition, it became known that the meeting also evaluated the empowerment of the People in dealing with weather phenomena, in conjunction with the National Risk Management System, in order to establish preventive measures in the face of the entry of tropical wave number 33.
