The Venezuelan Jefferson Savarino came off the bench of substitutes to score the goal he gave to his Botafogo, in the final of the Rio 2024 Cup, after beating Sampaio Correa in the semifinals with an aggregate of 4-2.
Savarino entered the field at minute 42' and shortly before the final whistle, he received a ball set in the middle of the field that finished off with a powerful shot that the goalkeeper could not stop.
This is the third goal for the Venezuelan in 11 games played with the Brazilian club since his arrival, and he also has 2 assists.
The Venezuelan team will face Boavista in the final, the first leg will be on March 31, while the second leg will be played on April 7.
If it became champion, Savarino's club would secure a ticket to the 2025 Brazil Cup.
