The 9th Criminal Court of Control of Táchira, San Cristóbal extension, issued an arrest warrant against the “influencers” Gustavo Lainette and Gustavo Azócar, who are part of a cell dedicated to extorting people using social networks.
Letter No. 9C-301/2025, addressed to the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) of San Cristóbal, states that the arrest warrant against Lainette and Azócar responds to crimes of Aggravated Extortion, Promotion or Incitement to Hate, Aggravated Improper Disclosure of Personal Information and Aggravated Association, by both citizens.
They report that Lainette and Azócar published a series of reports exposing the Tachirense cattle farmer Waldo Rujano Mora as a person linked to Colombian criminals, to later extort him.
In this regard, Rujano Mora requested, through a complaint (private prosecution), to criminally prosecute Lainette and Azócar, an action that was admitted by the 7th Court of Control of Táchira, San Cristóbal extension, according to file SP21-P-2025-000044, details in the newspaper Úlmas Noticias.
Lainette, on whom one of the arrest warrants weighs, is resident in the United States (USA) from where she originally organized the Almost Venezuela campaign, promoted by the mercenary Erik Price, aimed at raising funds to carry out a military invasion against Venezuela and overthrow President Nicolás Maduro.
