A team of seamstresses from the Training School of the Single Fund for
Productive Financing of the state of Lara (FONFIP) activated a
special plan for humanitarian textile production, aimed at making
clothing for boys and girls affected by the recent earthquakes in the country.
The outerwear, made
in sizes 2 to 12, will be distributed directly to vulnerable
communities in the state of La Guaira and in various
hospitals in the city of Caracas, a press release from FONFIP highlighted on Monday.
The information indicates that the socio-productive initiative
has the logistical support of the government of the state of Lara,
an organization that, through the Single Fund, guaranteed the total supply of
the raw material and textile inputs necessary for assembly.
The project seeks to channel the technical capacities and labor of the entrepreneurial
sector in Larense to provide an immediate response to the clothing and comfort
needs of children who are in a situation of contingency
or under medical care.
