Continuing the training plan, workers from the National Electric Corporation (CORPEOELEC) in the state of Mérida participate in the maintenance course on energized distribution lines.

From the Mérida III electrical substation, the participants practiced “Rescue at height”.

This academic course lasts 168 hours of theoretical and practical classes, allowing participants to acquire supervisory knowledge in certain work maneuvers.

The Secretary of Public Services, Marielys Sacipa, explained that the first field practice called “Rescue at height” was carried out, where a series of steps were taken to ensure a safe response, when a worker who has suffered an accident at work was taken down from a high or low voltage pole.

Sacipa thanked the training, distribution and territorial management teams for making this training possible, reported Prensa Gobernación de Mérida.

“These tasks are promoted by the Vice President of Public Works and Services, Jorge Márquez and the governor of Mérida Jehyson Guzmán, so that workers are better trained day by day, as directed by President Nicolás Maduro,” said Sacipa.
