The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), in conjunction with the Guacara Mayor's Office, is replacing a 10 MVA power transformer at the Vigirima substation, in order to provide electricity for more than 75,000 families and agricultural producers.
The technical maneuver involves the redistribution of loads to the new power unit, an action that makes the El Toco circuit independent. This setting eliminates interruptions due to overload and temperature in the main switch, equipment that previously had automatic openings to protect the infrastructure of the distribution center.
The technical intervention covers the Vigirima axis from Ojo de Agua to La Manga, as well as the Tronconero sector. In the same way, the works include attention to communities in the Yagua parish, including La Milagrosa, El Limón, Maracaibero and Quebrada Honda, where houses, commercial premises and agricultural production areas converge.
