The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) installed a transformer at the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge, in Zulia, at substation No. 8 of this emblematic 8.6 kilometers long viaduct, which connects the Eastern and Western shores of Lake Maracaibo.

The maneuvers are part of the public lighting modernization plan carried out by the CORPOELEC workforce, in coordination with the Ministry of People's Power for Public Works and the viaduct maintenance team.

The conference includes the total installation of 270 300 W LED luminaires, aimed at improving the visibility and road safety of users who travel daily through this fundamental artery.

The territorial manager of CORPOELEC in the state of Zulia, Luis Infante, reported that the tasks respond to the guidelines issued by President Delcy Rodríguez Gómez; the sectoral vice president of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez; the Minister of Popular Power for Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá, and are carried out in continuous coordination with the governor of the state of Zulia, Luis Caldera.

“We are at station No. 8 of the Bridge over the Lake carrying out the installation of a transformer to improve electrical conditions along the way and ensure the energy required by the lighting system. We are currently registering 75% progress in the execution of the work, with more than 200 luminaires already put into service,” said Infante.

With these ongoing updating and maintenance works, CORPOELEC ratifies its commitment to optimize electrical infrastructure in the Zulian entity, supporting the Bolivarian Government's comprehensive care plans.
