CORPOELEC performs assembly and assembly of a 400 MVA autotransformer in Planta Centro

At the Central Plant Substation, a 400 MVA Siemens autotransformer is assembled and assembled. This work is led by highly trained Venezuelan personnel from the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC).

The activation of this autotransformer will allow unit number 6 to be serviced for power exchange at the distribution yard substation, says engineer Jerry Palma.

“Once it is put into service, an operator with a certain degree of experience is required to allow the maneuverability of the equipment installed in the distribution yard, which will allow us to exchange energy between the two courtyards and the generation plant part of the center or west of the country,” he explained.
