Crews from the mayor's office of the Cristóbal Roja municipality, in Miranda state, are making progress in the construction of the pedestrian and vehicle bridge at the entrance of the Vista Real and Colinas de Vista Real housing estates.

In this regard, Mayor Humberto Marte explained that the works “have experienced significant progress in recent weeks”, adding that the structure collapsed at the end of June after heavy rains.

He specified that the crews of workers have completed the comprehensive sanitation phase in 4,500 square meters of the area affected by the collapse, removing the debris and preparing the ground for the next phases of construction.

In addition, more than 10 linear meters of 128-inch concrete pipes have been installed, and, through the use of heavy machinery, the problem related to wastewater is being addressed.

“As part of the long-term solutions to prevent future incidents, a 128-inch concrete pipe is being installed that will ensure adequate water channeling in the area,” the mayor specified.
