Connectivity advances in Falcón with fiber optic activation in the Democracia municipality

The Democracia municipality of Falcón state joins the CANTV fiber optic deployment, following the execution of a strategic route change in the Urumaco-El Pedregal section, which made it possible to complete the infrastructure necessary for the activation of the service in its capital.

With this advance, the Company reaches 301 capitals of municipalities connected nationally using GPON technology, consolidating access to high-speed Internet services in different regions of the country.

As part of the work, the technical crews carried out the overhead laying of 9.7 kilometers of wiring, using existing postage to optimize execution times and accelerate technological adaptation in the area.

To date, the project has reached more than 23 kilometers of installed backbone, with a goal of 33 kilometers, which will consolidate a robust platform for connecting homes, businesses and public institutions.

This infrastructure will allow the population to access more stable and higher-capacity telecommunications services, through optical fiber.

These actions are part of Cantv's Institutional Strategic Plan, aimed at the progressive replacement of copper networks with optical fiber, with the objective of strengthening connectivity throughout the national territory.
