Congratulations! President Maduro celebrates first victory of Venezuelan women in FIBA

Through his Telegram channel, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, extended his congratulations to the Venezuelan Women's Basketball Team for winning the gold medal of the South American U15 Championship.

“The U15 girls won the first FIBA South American championship in the category for our country in Barquisimeto. Congratulations!” , said the Head of State.

He also reaffirmed that this is a tremendous victory that brings joy to all the people of Venezuela.

Last Sunday, the Venezuelan national team defeated their Colombian counterpart with a score of 72-59 in the match that took place in the city of Barquisimeto, Lara state.
