The National Council for People with Disabilities (CONAPDIS) established an agenda of activities to commemorate Autism Awareness Month in Venezuela.

The program includes comprehensive care days, academic forums and territorial deployments aimed at strengthening policies for the inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Among the main actions, the implementation of the “Blue Route” stands out, an operation that transfers certification, qualification and legal advice services to various communities in the country. This technical deployment seeks to update the national register of citizens with neurodiversity to facilitate their access to social protection programs and benefits contemplated in the current legal framework.

This program provides guidance on effective approach and communication protocols to ensure respect for the human rights of people with ASD during their interaction with State institutions. In addition, specialized forums will be held in university centers to discuss advances in early diagnosis and inclusive pedagogy.

In the cultural and recreational field, the agenda includes events such as “A Song for Autism”, where civil organizations and social movements will participate. The purpose of these activities is to make visible the capacities of the neurodiverse population and to promote awareness in the family and community environment.

The schedule of activities will be extended throughout the month of April.
