Starting this Tuesday, January 22, the program of parades of troupes and community floats will begin in the ten parishes that make up Angostura del Orinoco, the capital municipality of the state of Bolívar, an activity that prepares the environment for the next celebration of the Happy Carnival 2024 in the entity.

This was reported to the Venezuelan News Agency by the Director of Tourism of the City of Bolivar City, Lorelkys Guzmán, who indicated that these parades will be led by artistic groups, singers and musical groups made up of children, young people and adults from each of the parishes.

At the end of each day, the queen of each parish will be elected, who will face the candidates from the other areas of the Angostura del Orinoco municipality in the Election of the Queen of the Happy Carnivals in Angostura 2024.

In this regard, he detailed the program of the parades of troupes and floats, starting this Tuesday the 23rd in the José Antonio Páez parish, south of the Bolivarian capital.

On Wednesday the 24th, the parades will take place in the Vista Hermosa parish and on Thursday the 25th it will be in the Cathedral parish, where the historic center of Angostura del Orinoco is located.

For their part, on Friday the 26th, the inhabitants of the Marhuanta parish will enjoy their carnivals.

It should be mentioned that in the foreign parishes Pana-Pana and Orinoco, as well as in the urban parish of La Sabanita, these parades and the election of their respective queen have already been held within the framework of the 2024 Carnival Cry.

The program includes as a final event the election of the “Chica Ciudad Bolívar 2024" of the Angostura del Orinoco Carnival, to be held on Sunday, January 28 starting at 6 in the afternoon at the Concha Acústica of the “Leonardo Ruíz Pineda” urban park in Ciudad Bolívar.

The winner will be the candidate of this capital municipality, later facing the flag bearers of the remaining nine municipalities of the state of Bolivar for the crown of “Queen of the Calypso Route 2024".

Guzmán pointed out that security will be guaranteed in each activity thanks to the deployment of a special plan of the Angostura Municipal Police, as well as the organizational work with the communal councils and groups of popular culture in each parish.

He pointed out that parish carnivals allow families from each sector of the city to show their own interpretation of what these festivities mean, as well as their talent for making costumes, floats and musical troupes that serve to give a unique experience to families and tourists who visit the city.
