This Monday, June 3rd, the preventive detention measure carried out by the Third Guarantee Court against the mayor of Recoleta, Daniel Jadue, represents the toughest judicial coup that the Communist Party (PC) has received, given that he is an emblematic figure and was the representative of the community in the presidential primaries of 2021.

International media point out that the coup, in addition, occurs one day after the 112th anniversary of the CP, whose militancy has insisted on the thesis of “lawfare” or judicial war, against the party and Jadue.

In this regard, the PC reported that it held an extraordinary meeting of its political committee to address the case, in which Jadue has already announced that he will appeal.

Meanwhile, Mayor Jadue, through his account on the social network X, assured that “they judge me for our transformative management”.

“There's not a single weight in my pocket, but they give me the utmost precaution. We will appeal to this disproportionate measure!” , he emphasized.
