The Standing Committee on People's Power and Communication of the National Assembly (AN) expressed its support and support to the Public Ministry (MP) for the investigation of the blackmail media structure led by the leader of the PDVSA-Cripto corruption scheme, Tareck El Aissami.

At its regular meeting held this Wednesday, May 08, the commission approved an agreement to support the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, said Deputy Ricardo González, in a press release from the AN.

He stressed that the objective of the agreement is to show the People the intention to provide justice against those who are involved in this corruption scheme.

He also said that the commission is willing to participate in the investigations conducted by the board of directors of the AN and by the special commission that investigates those involved in the case.

On another item on the agenda, the commission approved an agreement in rejection of the decision of Javier Milei's fascist government to exclude Telesur from Open Digital Television in Argentina and that of the Zionist State of Israel, which banned the broadcasting of the Al Jazeera television channel.

The agreement was presented by Deputy Juan García, who explained that the decision violates press freedom rights and international conventions.

He commented that it represents an act of censorship on the part of Milei, who has violated human rights, since his arrival to the Argentine government, with the application of neoliberal measures ordered by the United States and Israel.

He stated that the news channel Al Jazeera had been disseminating the truth of the genocide against the Palestinian people, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyanhu decided not to let the Qatari media broadcast, a fact rejected by the agreement of the parliamentary body.

García highlighted that Telesur and Al Jazeera are extremely important media that truthfully and timely report the truth of free people, but these leaders are uncomfortable with the content.
