The members of the Tucupido Municipal Dairy and Livestock Economic Circuit, Guárico state, inaugurated the El Cerdo del Este Community Direct Social Production Company, at an event attended by the governor of the entity, José Vásquez and the Minister of Popular Power for Communes and Social Movements, Ángel Prado.

In this space, buttermilk, yellow cheese, mayonnaise, among other products, will be produced, which are sold in the dot and circle at solidarity prices, while another part of the production is marketed through the National Center Made in Comuna, located in Guacara, Carabobo state.

The executive parliamentarian of the Eastern Revolutionary Commune, David Mendoza, explained that this production company is constituted by the Popular Power organized in six communal councils, mostly young revolutionaries who work hard on these products of the Hecho en Comuna brand. The raw material for the production of the products comes from 109 local producers, thus strengthening communal production and fulfilling the economic circuit in its entirety.

The spokesman for the 5th of July Community Council, attached to the Eastern Revolutionary Commune, William Azuaje, assured that this project began at the meetings of the economic circuit to evaluate “what our needs were, we made progress in the organization and that allowed us to show the productive potentialities that are materialized today with this Community Direct Social Production Company El Cerdo del Este”.

The Direct Social Community Production Company focuses on the production of different types of cheeses that reach more than four thousand families in the territory. In this regard, the governor explained that “there are seven products that, in addition, are all over the circuit. At the primary level, with our small producers, they bring the milk here, the integrated commune processes it and then it goes to distribution, to each of our popular markets, to the Ministry of Popular Power for the Communes and here we distribute it in food stores in Guárico.”
