Commander Fidel Castro: In Hugo Chávez we have a continuation of Bolívar's work

A true friendship can be recognized in the way one person speaks about another, and this was evidenced by Commander Fidel Castro when referring to the Supreme Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Commander Hugo Chávez.

On many occasions, Fidel exalted his admiration for the greatness of his friend Chávez, whom he taught and from whom he learned many things in the long journey of the anti-imperialist struggle, which both of them tirelessly shared for the well-being of their Peoples and of the entire world.

“In Hugo Chávez we have a continuator of the work of (Simon) Bolívar, of (Antonio José de) Sucre, we have a continuator. I know how to know men, support them, their spirit as a tireless worker,” said the Leader of the Cuban Revolution once, praising Commander Chávez's victories in multiple battles.
