On October 4, 2012, the Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez Frías, emphasized that the sons and daughters of the Fatherland would not allow imperialism and its lackeys to liquidate Venezuela again.

“We are the patriots of July 5th, April 19th, we are the soldiers of José Félix Ribas in La Victoria. That's us, the men and women of today. We belong to Ezequiel Zamora's troops (...), we are the Caracazo people, it's us. We're the ones from February 4th, damn it. We are the people of November 27, we are, it cost us a lot to get here in 500 years of battle (...) and for nothing in the world we are going to allow them to liquidate Venezuela again,” said the Commander from Bolívar Avenue in Caracas.

In that sense, I emphasized that thanks to those years, Venezuela was alive today. “At the end of the 20th century, Venezuela rose up like Lazarus and here we are in 2012, Venezuela today is alive and walking and running. Long live Venezuela. Thanks to God and thanks to the heroic people of Bolivar, Venezuela rose from the dead and today lives the Homeland, the young Fatherland,” he stressed.
